It doesn’t really matter what you put on, it still looks like a zit with stuff on it. I learned a long time ago, that anything you apply to red, swollen skin looks worse. You can bring the swelling down with ice, but anything you put on top of is just going to look more obvious.
Put a hot teabag on it. Not so hot that it will burn your skin but if you take it out of the hot water and squeeze the excess water out then press it against the zit for a few minutes. It is soothing and can help reduce redness.
You can also dab some acne cream (any brand, even generic brand) on just the zit (not the surrounding skin) and that will dry it out fast.
get clearasil ultra the little tube…its really good…if your like rich or proms the next day, get a cortizone shot from your dermatologist. if you just want to make the red go away use visine-i know its for eyes but it gets the redness away from like anything! If its a whitehead then you can really gently sorta pop it but if its red dont touch it! Youll only irritate it and give it more oil. EWW i cant believe im talking about acne lol good luck
Yeah, a lot of people say to put some toothpaste on it, but I just use an anti-acne masking cream and leave it on all night. The cream is very stiff in the morning, so I use a hot wet cloth to gently wash it off.
i tried putting Tylenol or a pill with acid and it went away i read this on a website it did actually work but it sounds weired
doctors say not to put toothpaste on ur face- its just toothpaste. don’t put ANYTHING on ur face. wash with a mild cleanser like Cetaphil and overnight you can try like a benzoyl peroxide (that kills bacteria). or salycylic acid (which dries). these are over the counter by clean and clear (i think).
never pop them!!! i go to a dermatologist…get it all the time.
i really recommend pro-activ, but if that’s to expensive then wash your face at least 2 times a day. dont over wash though!
use "oil-free" and "non-comedogenic" face washes.
i also then recommend clinique.
within in time where you have gotten into a good habit with cleaning, they will eventually go away.
dont worry all to much about it. its really normal.
good luck!
this may sound strange… but it works!
If its BIG and red…. lol…preparation H will actually help to shrink it over night!
and Tea tree oil will help dry them up… both available at the drug store!
