I'd add that taking large doses of vitamin A leads to liver failure; hence, dermatologists nowadays prescribe vitamin A derivatives like Retin-A and Accutane, rather than straight vitamin A, as they used to do. There's no quick way to get rid of acne, once it's erupted. On the other hand, the only "cure" for recurring acne is to always wash your face with something like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, even when you think you didn't get sweaty that day.
