What are your thoughts on the birth control pill Yaz?
I havre recently switched frοm yasmin tο yaz. Thе doctor changed mе bесаυѕе hе believed іt wаѕ better fοr mу moods. Whеn I ѕtаrtеd yasmin, I lost weight (fluid retention) bυt I feel lіkе I hаνе gained іt back again οn Yaz аnd mу moods haven’t changed. Jυѕt wondering іf anyone еlѕе hаѕ experienced side effects?

I like it, it will take about 2 months to get used to it…
I was worrying too, i had acne, and gas, headaches and nausea…
but once you get past that its all fine, it can take up to five months to feel normal again though im told
go on loestrin24, thats what i am on and it works great!
God I hated yaz, I was on it for about six monthes and each month the side effects got worse, I thought I was crazy, panic attacks were severe, spotting all month long, I would cry for no apparent reason, and snap at my boyfriend for no reason ….. horrible horrible pill
My friend used it and she found that it made her breasts decrease. And make her stomach a bit bigger.
As soon as she got off of it her boobs got huge and her stomach got tiny-er.
That’s just something for you to think about.
I used Loestrin 24 and it worked better for me than all the others I tried. Now I use Nuva Ring bc it’s just simpler. So far it has been great too. I dont know anything about Yaz, but a friend of mine used it and she really loved it, had no problems. All these things just depend of the person and level of estrogen in the pills and such. Maybe it’s too much or too little for you? Not sure how they compare with levels either… Sorry.
i was on yaz for 8 moths.
well it wasnt bad. but it wasnt good
my anxiety PEEKED. every little thing freaked me out.
but my periods were relativly the same
it did make me gain wegith but other than mood issues i didnt have any other physical side affects.
but each body reacts different to each pill so it’s different for everyone
I get slightly woozy when I go back on the pink pills as opposed to the white ones. It also makes my skin a little too dry instead of just clearing it up, but basic moisturizer fixed that.
Yaz actually helped me to lose 25 pounds because the first few months I felt a little woozy a lot of the time. I’ve been using it for almost a year now. Weight gain is caused by appetite increase, and, sometimes, slight fluid retention, but if you drink cranberry juice regularly, it will minimize fluid retention (it contains a natural diuretic), also, Pamprin and Midol contain mild diuretics. If you watch what you eat, you won’t gain weight from appetite increase.
