It is normal to not have a period on the Yaz birth control pill?
I hаνе bееn taking Yaz fοr аlmοѕt 2 years now аnd fοr аbουt 6 months I haven’t hаd a period. At first іt јυѕt gοt really, really light, аnd thеn eventually ѕtοрреd. Thіѕ іѕ okay rіght? thе pill саn јυѕt eliminate уουr periods, bесаυѕе уουr periods οn thе pill аrе fаkе anyway.

When I tried Yaz, I had no period. At all. So, yes it is normal for some women.
Periods on the pill aren’t fake, just different. Any form of hormonal birth control or the copper IUD affects the lining of the uterus, thinning it out so a fertilized egg cannot implant. Since the lining is thinner, you’ll have little to no bleeding.
Yes, all hormonal birth control methods can lighten or eliminate your periods. The hormones affect the lining of your uterus, making it thinner. When you have your placebo week, there can be very little (or no) lining to shed. It can also work by keeping your net hormone levels high enough that a period is never triggered.
PS @Krysta : The copper IUD doesn’t lighten or eliminate periods; in fact it often makes them heavier and longer. It doesn’t work the same what other hormonal methods do. Perhaps you are thinking of the hormonal IUD instead?
Yeah! that’s perfectly normal. thats what happened with most birthcontrol pills.
Absence of periods is a serious side effect of Yaz.
