   Bacterial Ribosomes. It binds to them and inhibits protein synthesis.

   Both: Broad spectrum.

   Also, what is it used for?

   To treat people with bacterial infection. To select transformed bacteria in a molecular biology lab.

   it works against both gram pos and gram neg bacteria

   a great general purpose antibiotic..good with acne tx and res tract infections

   It inhibits a ribosomal subunit, I can’t remember which but probably the 16S of the 30S. It does this by binding the aminoacyl-tRNAs. I think it would be effective against both gram + and gram -.

   well it is a broad spectrum antibiotic.it inhabit protein synthesis by binding 30s ribosome of bacteria.as it is a broad spectrum antibiotic u can use for both gram positive and negative.but mostly
   used for all cocci and gram positive bacilli

   tetracyclines are macrolide antibiotics which target protein synthesis if i remember correctly at the level of the ribosome. active against both g + and -.
   used for variety of infections of lower resp tract and rickettsiae, also against atypical pnuemonias like mycoplasma and legionella and chlamydia. also stds
