Tetracycline, Can I take 2 pills at once?
I аm taking thе 250mg. I’m suppose tο take 3 times a day. Mу schedule won’t work considering I hаνе tο wait 3 hours аftеr I eat ѕο I wаѕ wondering… Cаn I take 2 pills аt one time? Iѕ іt safe?

For ultimate effectiveness, you have to space out the dosage. That way the medicine circulates through your body all day. If you take 2 at once, you will lose the benefits that you are taking it for.
I have never heard of waiting 3 hours after you eat, though. Get a second opinion, you can call your pharmacist for free advice.

No it is not a good idea. All antibiotics work best when you maintain a constant level of the drug in the blood stream. It may make you nauseated and/or cause vomiting if you take too much at one time. It is also hard on your liver and kidneys to metabolize and excrete the drug if you have too much in your system at once. I am assuming you have to wait three hours after eating because you were told to take it on an empty stomach right? If so, could you take it an hour or so before meals instead of three hours after. That should work just as well.
I am taking this right now actually, my doctor said to take 2 capulets EITHER 1 hour before i eat OR 2 hours after i eat 2x a day. I am not experiencing any sickness so i think it’s okay.
