Hi, I have this pimple just below of my nose. It started yesterday and now it is swollen down to my jaw.

Any other similar case? what is the treatment provided by the doctor? which is better, hot or cold compress. The pain is killing me. Any best position in sleeping? Thanks in advance.

I am about to start taking tetracycline for my acne. I know tetracycline is an antibiotic, and I know that antibiotics kill all the bacteria in one’s body, and I know plain yogurt helps to build up the good bacteria in the body, but…. I am supposed to avoid dairy products when taking this medication, because it will make the medicine ineffective, so what should I do about this situation? Can I still have natural plain yogurt? Or is there anything else that can help build up good bacteria?

I have recently been diagnosed with Lyme Disease… My doctor has prescribed Doxycycline @ 100 mg twice daily for two weeks. I was wondering how long it’s going to take for it to kick in and help the pain subside? I think I am in the second stage of the disease. I have slight swelling in my knees and pain in my shoulders and knees… More tired and exhausted everyday… Thanks in advance!

I have been having issues with Yaz lately. I have TERRIBLE mood swings, my cramps have worsened, and I keep hearing all these negative statements about Yaz. I completely stopped taking the medication about a week ago and just scheduled an appointment to get another birth control.

What are some safe and reliable birth control pills? I’d like to do some research before I go to my appointment.

Lately I have been seeing commercials and reading a lot online about women having terrible side effects from taking Yaz (strokes, blood clots, even death). Each of the stories I have read seem to have happened to women during their first few months of taking the Yaz pill. I have already been on it for several years now and I have not had any problems so far. I actually really like the Yaz, but these stories are scaring me. Could these dangerous side effects show up at anytime or are would they have shown up by now?

Also, some of the black specks, when squeezed, push out the start of a new hair, which I also have to pluck! The dark zit like things make it look like I still have unplucked brow hairs and I am tired of plucking everyday. What are they and what causes them? Thanks in advance.

For those of you who have been on accutane, I would just like to know what exactly the side effects were like for you? I know that it can really dry out your skin and lips. When you were on it, did your skin and lips peel? If so, how bad? Did it get to a point where you looked gross? If so, how long did that last? Where you that dry the whole time you were on the medicine, or did it go away after awhile? Can I keep myself looking pretty normal if I use good chapstick and moisturizer? I have been taking it for one week now and all I have so far is lips that are a little dry. Thanks in advance for any help you may have to offer.

Lots of people told me not to pop it because it will leave scar/pit on my face and I don’t want to have more of those. At the same time, I’d like my face look clear of zit when going to school/work. I have several pimples on my cheeks/jaw/chin area that never seem to go away. I really want them gone fast, but everything I use, seems to turn the pimple into an unsightly whitehead and stays that way for several days. Eventually the whitehead turns back into a pimple, but they never go away completely. I don’t want to go buy something so if you know of any good tricks or tips, that would be helpful. I have been on accutane for 10 days and my face has gotten all red and dry. Also, I am breaking out much more than normal and my lips are extremely chapped, I hate this! So, when does it finally start to turn around? Anytime soon? What can I use to make this period less painful? Today I bought some Eucerin Redness Relief Moisturizer and Cleanser, maybe that will help? Thanks in advance.
