I have moderate - mainly severe acne on my face and chest and will be going on accutane on thurs. How long will it take before i start to see an improvement?

I have severe acne i guess, my acne has improved alot form BenzaClin, but i have to put alot of moisteriser on because it dires out my skin so bad. I still break out in clumps and big soar pimples/spots. My skin looks gross because it is faded from the BenzaClin and red from my acne and it is all scared. Does anyone know how to get rid of redness and remove scars while still getting rid of my acne?

My son’s dermatologist is trying a prescription body wash for my son’s severe acne, and said if this doesn’t work, he will try accutane. I was reading up on the literature he gave us about it and some of the side effects are pretty bad. I’d like to hear from someone who’s used it, did it help the acne? What side effects did you have?

my 12 year old daughter has really severe acne. its blackheads, and infected pimples. some whiteheads. we put her on doryx and retin-a but it didnt really help. we are using skin id which seems to dry it out a bit. our dermatologist told us to put her on accutane, and since she has had her period, they have to do pregnancy tests and crap. do you think this is a good idea? we are worried that she will have depression its in our family history.

I don’t suffer from severe acne so when I’ve used previous acne treatments my skin gets very irratated and my skin peels. I’ve tried Proactiv Acne Free and other things but they just wont get rid of the stubborn blackheads on my nose

I heard about acne blue light therapy. Does it really work? I was advised to remove my scars using Laser resurfacing but it is too expensive for me.

I’m a guy of age 17. i have severe acne with full of red spots and cysts here and there. i’m on accutane treatment for 5 months. still i have breakouts. so how long to get rid of it?

I don’t have severe acne or anything, my face isn’t too oily or too dry, but it seems like I always have some acne and I do wear makeup a lot. I want to find a good foundation that wont cause acne, but gives good coverage because my face isn’t even toned and i have blemishes etc.

I used to have moderate to severe acne. I cleared most of it up with Clinique’s acne system, but I’m looking for one that will completely clear my breakouts. What have you tried? What has been the best you have used? I have somewhat sensitive skin, so a slightly milder or more natural system would be better. Are there any tricks to completely clearing acne?

i’m about to start accutane, I’m 14 ive had severe acne for 2and a half years, and it’s been hard. I just don’t want to show up at school with a really flaky face!
