I missed a pill in my yaz birth control pack… I want to start alllll over in a week with a new pack of pills and not finish the pack I have now and not have sex for four months like normal. Would this be ok to do to myself or would it screw up my body and not work?
My grilfriend was under the impression that because she is now taking YAZ, that after that first pill, she was protected from getting pregnant. We decided to wait until day 7 prior to having intercourse. Most pills I have been told about would take 30 days to be effective. I can say at this point I am a bit concerned. Does anyone know what the proper time frames are for this birth control, and when it is considered effective? Is it one day?
Im taking Yaz(1st BPC) and its my first month and i got to the 4 placebo pills and it didnt come until the last one and now im on a new pack on white pills and it came, My period is also longer than usual.
I ask this because on Monday of last week, I accidentally dropped one of my Yaz pills in the sink which contained a tiny bit of water, and the pill did get wet. I took it anyway, hoping for the best. I didn’t think anything of it, until I was a few hours late taking my pill Friday night of this week, as well. Should I be concerned? It’s been a rough week! Also, FYI, I’ve been on Yaz for over a year now, and ordinarily do not miss any pills.
i have Chlamydia and have been given doxycycline to take (two pills a day for a week) would it be ok to drink in the evening if i took the pill at around 4ish? ive been taking the medicine since wednesday… please help, thanks
I just started YAZ and I have noticed a lack of desire to have sex. This is fairly abnormal for me. Any Experiences?
I understand that birth control is not 100% however, I head that it is more likely to get pregnant on YAZ than other bc pills.
i’m taking YAZ for accutane next month.
he said to take it at the very last day of my period, but the instructions that came with the pills said to take it the very first day of your period.
why did he tell me that?
what should i do?
I am taking claravis accutane (isotretrinoin). On the box it says protect from light. What happens when the pills get exposed to light? One set of 10 got exposed for a few minutes before i saw on the box to keep out of light. It also says keep in a light-tight container. Why do you have to do this, are those pills that got exposed ruined?
I have been on birth control for over 7 years consistently, and have been on Yaz for 8 months. I was diagnosed with a UTI and put on antibiotics, specifically sulfamethoxazole, for a week. I had my monthly during that week, and started a new pack the 2nd to last day of my antibiotics. So I had taken the first 2 BC pills of my new pack and on those 2 days I also took my last two days of antibiotics. I was sexually active on the 3rd day of my pack, but used backup for that day and the next two days. My question is if whether or not I have to continue a backup to use with Yaz if I had barely started my new pack as I was ending my antibiotics. Am I protected as fully against pregnancy with just my pill, or has my antibiotic in those first two days of my pack effected the entire month of my protection and so I need to use back up for a month? Thanks!
I have been on Ocella for almost a year and I am switching to Yaz for it’s *fingers crossed* acne benefits. What I want to know is do you think I will have a problem switching from one to the other since they are almost the same hormone levels. Or do you think it will be the same as when you switch with other pills (all of the awful symptoms).
Also, anyone who has switched from Yasmin or Ocella to Yaz how do you like it in comparison?
