My dermatologist prescribed Benzoyl Peroxide (4.5%) pads for my moderate acne. The box says to apply in the morning but to refer to the paper inside the box for further instructions. Somehow I misplaced that paper before reading it. I know that you’re supposed to wash and dry your face before using the pad BUT my question is: How long after using a Benzoyl Peroxide pad do you wash/rinse it off?
I was prescribed to Yaz to help with my moderate acne. I hear that many teenage girls and women have great results, mostly by the 3rd month, but so far I have had none. My acne has stayed the same as it was before I started taking it if not worse. Has anyone else had this problem?
I only have 5 pills left and am on my 2nd pack. And for everyone who says their acne cleared up within a week of taking it, screw you. My acne has gotten worse and has spread to different areas of my face and body.
I’m on day 19 of accutane. I’ve had persistant moderate acne for over 10 years. I’ve been breaking out bad since day 2. About how much longer should I expect to be REALLY bad. I can tolerate a few pimples on my face but this is ridiculous.
It’s very common to have an initial breakout during the first weeks of accutane.
I have mild to moderate acne and I was just wondering how long you can be on doxycycline for? I took it for 2 months before and i ran out cuz that was the length of the prescription. However, I am thinking of being on it again cuz it seemed to do the trick but i need to know what the length of time is
I have moderate acne its not severe but i am going on accutane in two weeks. I would really like this stuff to work as soon as possible…anyone have any helpful tips about what i should do while on it to help it work better and faster? Thanks!
I took doxycycline when I went to india, to prevent malaria. However i lost the bottle at the airport so I couldn’t finish taking the whole thing. A few months later I brok out like crazzzy. Do you think the doxycycline caused it…..and I also had moderate acne prior to taking doxy.
I’ve got moderate acne problem but yeah. Anyway, my mother said that it will only damage my face. It’s been bleeding since this particular pimple got onto my face after some time. I can safely say it’s been way longer than a month now (but the exact time of when it began bleeding is lost to me but it is a long time)
The pimple itself is somewhat gone, it’s flat now. But it still keeps bleeding.
I have polycystic ovaries so my skin has moderate acne that no cream or topical stuff will touch. My dermatologist recommended Accutane. How does this medication work to clear acne? Are the side effects as bad as people say? And how long do I have to be off of it before I can get pregnant? My dermatologist said that 50% of people who take accutane do not have acne problems after discontinuing use. I am 28 and I would like to try it because I have tried everything else and I do not want to be on antibiotics the rest of my life. Please only answer if you are a doctor or have taken accutane.
I’m on my 6th day of Yaz and so far I haven’t noticed a difference in my skin. I have moderate acne and am hoping Yaz helps clear it. How long does it take?
I currently take 500mg of doxycycline everyday (one pill at breakfast, one at dinner) to treat my acne. It’s moderate acne, but not awful, but very persistent and seems to be getting worse and spreading. What would happen if say, maybe I slipped in an extra pill everyday at lunch, so it would boost me up to 750mg? Would that potentially have any harmful consequences or would it do me any good?
