I am on depression medication and my dermatologist prescribed me Accutane. I really need it as it is my last resort, I have been going to her for 6 years. My skin doesn’t want to clear up. She does not know about my depression problem (which is ONLY a result of a recent bad breakup). If I tell her, will she work with me or is she going to pull the plug on giving me the prescription?! Please help. I need the help!

I started accutane, and I’ve been getting bad headaches, dizzy spells, and my head (like forhead area) has been feeling pressured or ‘compressed’. It’s really weird. The pharmasicst said that the dizzyness and the fact that my head feels compressed are not side effects of accutane, an acne medication. Does anyone have any ideas why I may be getting these symptoms and what they may mean?

I started my Accutane treatment in January 2008 and ended it June 2008. My lips were still chapped a month after and I asked my dermatologist why this is. His answer was that I have braces and the medication is still in effect. Its now been a year, braces off, and still my lips are chapped. Any suggestions?

I had sex with my exgirlfriend on February,and a month later i realised that my penis have a yellowish discharge with burning sensation.Hence i went to a clinic and found out that i have infected with chlamydia.The doctor gave me a 10 days medication of Doxycycline, and i had feel better after treatment.But what worries me,is that i still have mild and clear discharge eventhough there is no more burning sensation. It’s quite irritating at the urethra.On April i went to the clinic again for checkup.The doctor took some sample of my penis discharge to his lab for test and told me that he couldn’t find any bacteria/virus and told me that i am free from chlamydia and not to worry.It is July now and i am still having this clear discharge.May i know what is the problem?Is it serious?By the way, i am a beer lover and drinks lot of it.Is this why i still have this problem? Please Advise.Thank You

I am planning on starting to take birth control soon(most likely nuva ring), and I can’t take the acne medication I am currently on because it might interfere. I think I will wait a while and see if the hormones in the birth control help control my acne, but in case they don’t, could someone please suggest some acne medications that would be ok to take while on the nuva ring or any other birth control?

Ok, so for my science fair, I am comparing effectiveness of acne medication with benzoyl peroxide to acne medication with salicylic acid. Unfortunately, the benzoyl peroxide in ProActiv is 2.5% and the salicylic acid is 2.0%. I have to use ProActiv because its most common. So, I’m going to take out some ProActiv, take out some of the other medication, and apply it to bacteria. Can someone please be very specific and tell me exactly what I need to do to dilute the ProActiv medication so that the benzoyl peroxide is at 2.0%? Thanks so much!

My doctor prescribed me to doxycycline for chlymidia and said "NO intercourse until the medication is done". Can I still masturbate safely? or will this upset the healing process? There is no pain or anything either.
Obviously I don’t mean am I going to catch something lol. I’m asking if doing it will make it harder to heal while on the meds. Thanks though

proactiv is pretty expensive, but I’m looking for a good acne medication that really works.

I have tried many acne medications and have had the most success with smg/tmz which is a sulfa pill. I have never had clear skin, with any medication, but I was hoping to find that with Accutane.
