I’m just starting to take the pill…or actually seeing the effects such as dry skin and lips. I have no problems with my liver or anything, I’ve been cleared and actually started several days ago (6-ish).

Anyway, what are some good ways to keep moisture in my skin. I’ve always used lotion and chapstick (Burt’s Bee’s for some reason and Vaseline) but idk if they’ll still work…

HELP!!!

I always have pimple growing out of my bottom lips left and right side. Its the most common where its breaking out. What are good products or way to keep it from breaking out in that spot?

I’ve got this little icky thing right where my lips meet at the corner. It hasn’t gotten big (you can’t even see it with my mouth closed), but it hasn’t gone away either. Do cold sores keep getting bigger and grosser as time goes on? I’m wondering if it’s just a zit that won’t go away b/c it’s always getting moisture…And yes, I know this is an icky question.
I think I’ve had it for a week now. I don’t mess with it all day- then at home when I’m watching TV I mess w/it w/o realizing it. Will Abreva hurt it if it’s a zit? I’ve used Neosporin and Clearasil.
I love Bobfartly. She’s special. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference b/c I’ve never HAD a cold sore in my 25 years of life (SO not junior high). The ones I’ve seen on people are way more unsightly (lol- not to brag).

Do all cold sore infections begin on the lips? Can they begin adjacent to the mouth. I have an area near my mouth that is swollen and feels puffy. Nothing on the lips or anything. How can you tell if it is a cold sore or a zit?

I just recently started taking accutane, and I have already seen great results in acne.

The only thing that I hate about it is that my face hurts like a mother. My lips and chin/cheek area are the worst. I have only been on it for about a week, and I don’t know what to do.

I have heard that it eventually ends, but should I buy special cream or something to help it from hurting and looking so dry?

Please tell me some tips if you have used accutane before or know!

For those of you who have been on accutane, I would just like to know what exactly the side effects were like for you? I know that it can really dry out your skin and lips. When you were on it, did your skin and lips peel? If so, how bad? Did it get to a point where you looked gross? If so, how long did that last? Where you that dry the whole time you were on the medicine, or did it go away after awhile? Can I keep myself looking pretty normal if I use good chapstick and moisturizer? I have been taking it for one week now and all I have so far is lips that are a little dry. Thanks in advance for any help you may have to offer.

I recently used some hydroquinine to get rid of some old sun spots on my cheeks. However, I still have some old cold sore/zit scars. In flourescent lighting, there are some brown areas around my lips. They must have been from old cold sores or zits I picked in the past. What could I use to diminish their appearance? Would it be safe to use hydroquinine for a little while?

I sometimes get a pimple on the edge of my lips, but I have one that’s pretty sore, so I need to know how to tell the difference between a pimple and a cold sore. I’ve never had one before, but my dad gets them and I’ve heard they’re hereditary. If it is a cold sore, are there any good remedies that don’t cost a lot?

I have been on accutane for 10 days and my face has gotten all red and dry. Also, I am breaking out much more than normal and my lips are extremely chapped, I hate this! So, when does it finally start to turn around? Anytime soon? What can I use to make this period less painful? Today I bought some Eucerin Redness Relief Moisturizer and Cleanser, maybe that will help? Thanks in advance.

I’ve been using benzoyl peroxide acne medication for a week or so. I apply the lotion to my face before bed every night. It’s a Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% lotion by Neutrogena advanced solutions.
I noticed slight yellowing around the edges of my upper lip. I’d applied the lotion around my lips (not on them) as well as all over my face.
Is it possible for the benzoyl peroxide to discolor my lips, or am i just being paranoid? If discoloration is possible, would my lips return to the normal hue?
