My dentist has just prescribed me 250mg of erythromycin for a tooth that is infected because it needs a root canal. The pain is pretty intense, and I can’t keep taking painkillers because I’m pregnant and I’m afraid it might harm my baby. It’s a course of 4 tablets a day for 5 days.

When do you think I should start feeling pain relief from the medicen fighting the infection? Also are there any side effects with this medicen?

I’ve been keeping it at room temperature for the last 3 or 4 days before I realized it said in fine print to put in the refrigerator. Is the medicine still good? I never had to put my erythromycin topical liquid in the fridge.

my toddler was prescribed to take erythromycin for her cough. then just this morning i went to visit my dentist for a toothache and i was told to take amoxicillin prior to a dental procedure. question, will my daughter be fine if i take amoxicillin while she’s on erythromycin?

I have strep throat, and I’m allergic to penicillin. I have Erythromycin but every time I take it I throw up, I can’t seem to keep it down. I tried eating a banana before taking it to see if that might help but I ended up still vomiting. Is there anything I can do to help with the nausea? Will the vitamins interact with the antibiotics or lower the effectiveness of the antibiotics? I’m taking erythromycin 3 times a day for 7 days because I tripped and cut open my chin (all stitched up now), and my wound was getting infected.

I have a wisdom tooth that is being extracted and the pain is unbearable. So much so that I have been unable to sleep for the past 28 hours. I am allergic to Penicillin, which is why erythromycin was prescribed to me.

I think I have a chest infection. I had one earlier but it seems to have returned. I am going to the doctor on 1hr. Are there any antibiotics stronger than erythromycin 500mg that isn’t penicillin as I am allergic to penicillin. Thanks.
