I have a mild kindey infections would it be alright to take Doxycycline to help

My son is on Vibramycin doxycycline calcium 7 mls every 12 hours. He has been on this medication since Wednesday night, the first 7ml dose was given then. I also have him on the Vibramycin and 3tsp of the Children’s Ibuprofen 100. But he is still spiking a fever of 102.8 or higher, he has now developed a running nose which he did not have the before, Wednesday the doctor stated that his lungs were clear, ears were fine, but I am getting a little worried because I can only keep his fever down for 8 hours which is the time frame for the Motrin. Also do I need to Refrigerate the Vibramycin Doxycycline calcium or not. I am getting a little concern with his fever still spiking after the Children’s Ibuprofen 100 wears off. Also before his fever spikes up to 102.8 or higher he states he is tired and sleepy. He gets really weak, latharjeck and complains of a headache, I am concerned.

my sister got it when she went in to be checked for bronchitis and the doctor on call just gave her it but after reading the "information sheet" - she decided not to take it… I am suffering now w/ aweful cold - bronchitis and can’t sleep - she offered to let me take it as its a 10day course - should I or what exactly is doxycycline used for?

I’ve been taking doxycycline for two weeks now and I’ve noticed that I pee a lot more…like 9-10 times a day. I don’t know if I should be worried about it…if it is just a side affect…or maybe I just have a tiny bladder…
Has this happened to anyone else on doxy?

I started taking doxycycline almost two weeks ago. It has made my face almost 3X as bad. What do I do? Do I continue taking it waiting for it to get better? Do I taper off the dosage?

I’m embarrassed to even leave my house. I used to have mild acne and now it’s going into the moderately severe path. It’s terrible. Please help!

its just that a doctor prescribed the doxycycline, but i accidentally took amoxicillin, which is supposed to be taken for 10 days… now i had to finish the 10 days of amoxicillin…

I’ve been prescribed Doxycycline HYC 100MG for my acne. I’ve read that not to take it with calcium and iron and such. So my question is, I shouldn’t be taking foods with calcium and iron and then proceed to take this pill right?

The reason I ask is because I am eating something that has 6% iron (says in the back of the box) and I am guessing I’d have to wait 2 hours before taking it. right?

i have taken roaccutane and most most acne is gone…but all the red marks are still there….im thinking maybe if i drink doxycycline which is an antibiotic which is used to treat less serious acne might help with the red marks going away faster…what do you think?…

I had chlamydia about a month ago. I was on the medication and got re-tested and test came back negative. But I have been getting a sore throat and my tongue has been sore. I was never tested for oral chlamydia because it had never crossed my mind. I realize it could also be allergies and i could be over thinking this but i just want to be careful. Since i was on Doxycycline could it have cured oral chlamydia if i did have it?
