How do you get rid of redness on face due to pimples/burn caused by benzoyl peroxide 5% without using visine?

I know visine is supposed to work but apparently that is only a short term solution. In essence how do i quickly and effectively repair my red skin so it retains its old white colour? And if moisturizers are the answer do i refrain from using benzoyl peroxide, if not how do i incorporate the two?

Since benzoyl peroxide is an oxidant, would antioxidants prevent it from working on my skin?

Would eating lots of anti oxidant foods make much of a difference in how well the benzoyl peroxide will work?

I put a tiny dab of PanOxyl acnegel on a spot on my cheek a week ago. I didn’t realise how dangerous benzoyl peroxide is - I now have a large raised dark red burn mark on my face the size of a 50p that looks like it will be a permanent scar. Anything I put on it makes it hurt - even water. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is there anything I can do?

I got a tube of 10% benzoyl peroxide as an acne treatment, and don’t know whether 10% is too much (I don’t have a lot of acne, just a little). I am worried that it may irritate my skin. Is it okay if I use this? I am also wondering how often should I apply this gel?
