I heard benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid cause cancer, and my face is too close to my brain to risk getting skin cancer, so I was wondering if I could use anything else.

After using proactive for a about 1 month i started to realize that under my left eye the sentive part under the eye was starting to become swollen. This Only Happened under my left eye. After Trial and error i found out that it was the Benzoyl Peroxide that made that happen to me is there any way that i can stop this from happening? Any Way to stop my left under eye from getting swollen?

I am 18 yrs old. over the summer i was on tetracycline and my face was very clear, then my prescription ran out and i broke out pretty bad right before college. My doctor then prescribed me with doxycycline and i have been using that with the trtinoin leftover from my tetra prescription along with 5% benzoyl peroxide once a day. Is this a good combo? and how long before i should see serious improvement?

So on acne.org, it states that you shouldn’t wash off the benzoyl peroxide cream after it dries….

so am i suppose to just leave it on for the entire day and apply moisturizer on top of the benzoyl peroxide, or do I wash it off first and then apply?

I just got double ear piercings a week ago, and have been cleaning them with the solution I got from Claire’s, where I got the piercings. My mom said to just use benzoyl peroxide instead, are they the same? Or is one better than the other?
yeah, i really didn’t wanna get the piercings done there but my mother wouldn’t take me anywhere else. :/

I know visine is supposed to work but apparently that is only a short term solution. In essence how do i quickly and effectively repair my red skin so it retains its old white colour? And if moisturizers are the answer do i refrain from using benzoyl peroxide, if not how do i incorporate the two?

Would eating lots of anti oxidant foods make much of a difference in how well the benzoyl peroxide will work?

I just read that benzoyl peroxide actual lengthens the timeline of acne red marks. My acne is around 90% clear I just have a load of red marks that have been there for about a month I what to keep my acne under control without bp thanks

I put a tiny dab of PanOxyl acnegel on a spot on my cheek a week ago. I didn’t realise how dangerous benzoyl peroxide is - I now have a large raised dark red burn mark on my face the size of a 50p that looks like it will be a permanent scar. Anything I put on it makes it hurt - even water. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is there anything I can do?

I’m allergic to sulfur and benzoyl peroxide. My face turns into a red plump every time I use it.
