I have it very severe on my back. I have been on for 3 weeks now and my doctor said it is a 5 month program. I have not seen any change since i started it, if anything it looks worse. I have been on 20mg of accutane, so when I go in for my next appointment is will the dermatologist put me more 30-80mg because of the severity of my acne?

So I’m 14 and today my dermatologist gave me Tetracycline and recommended i use it for about a month and see what happens. But after, I looked on here, and saw that many people complained about harsh side effects, like discoloration of teeth and major nausea. My doctor didn’t mention this though. He just said to not drink or eat any dairy products within 2 hours after taking the meds.

So what I wanted to ask, is all this stuff true? Should I still start taking Tetracycline? And what side effects have you experienced (if any)?

Oh and also, I’ve tried Proactive and Clearasil, and those somewhat worked, but I wanted a more effective medication. And my acne isn’t even that bad, its quite mild. But I thought I should just clear it up now, cause it gets pretty bad sometimes.

Been taking 20mg accutane per day for 54 days now and my acne is almost gone, apart from the odd couple of zits here and there. How long before skin clears totally?

I just read that benzoyl peroxide actual lengthens the timeline of acne red marks. My acne is around 90% clear I just have a load of red marks that have been there for about a month I what to keep my acne under control without bp thanks

I just got prescribed Doxycycline Hyclate a few days ago for my acne. I was wondering how well it works cuz I feel like I’ve tried everything. How long did it take to see a difference? Does it make your skin worse before it stats getting better? How did it work for you?

Does anybody know of any other antibiotics I can take to treat acne while on Accutane?

I am about to start taking tetracycline for my acne. I know tetracycline is an antibiotic, and I know that antibiotics kill all the bacteria in one’s body, and I know plain yogurt helps to build up the good bacteria in the body, but…. I am supposed to avoid dairy products when taking this medication, because it will make the medicine ineffective, so what should I do about this situation? Can I still have natural plain yogurt? Or is there anything else that can help build up good bacteria?

Im travelling to Kenya soon for aid work, and im currently on acne medication, i was told by somebody that doxycycline could be used as anti malarial medication as well as for acne prevention, is this true?

When i take antibiotics my skin clears up completely, even redness that lingered from past acne marks go away; unfortunately when i stop taking \antibiotics it all comes back. I realize that taking antibiotics everyday is not a smart idea as your body will become immune and the bacteria will become stronger so my question is, is there an alternative? Any foods, vitamins, or minerals i can take that help the body naturally create an antibiotic? Some other idea? Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

He has a sensitive skin and has reacted to medicines before…These tablets were given to him for his acne on his face. I’d appreciated any advice, thanks.
