I know getting pregnant while on accutane causes mutations in the baby but do you have to be on birth control while taking it even if you’re not sexually active?

I just finished about a month of accutane and can’t get the next supply ’till i get my blood work done which will take a few days….how bad is this ?

just looking for a rough idea of when ill start to see my acne clear up… i have been on accutane for about 6 weeks now and it is just as bad as when i started

I am on depression medication and my dermatologist prescribed me Accutane. I really need it as it is my last resort, I have been going to her for 6 years. My skin doesn’t want to clear up. She does not know about my depression problem (which is ONLY a result of a recent bad breakup). If I tell her, will she work with me or is she going to pull the plug on giving me the prescription?! Please help. I need the help!

I have just started taking Amnesteem (which is the exact same thing as Accutane, just a different brand) and my face is already starting to dry out. I can’t remember what my dermatoligist said about mosturizers so I am asking you guys. So, can i moisturize my face while taking accutane so it doesn’t look so dry?

I started accutane, and I’ve been getting bad headaches, dizzy spells, and my head (like forhead area) has been feeling pressured or ‘compressed’. It’s really weird. The pharmasicst said that the dizzyness and the fact that my head feels compressed are not side effects of accutane, an acne medication. Does anyone have any ideas why I may be getting these symptoms and what they may mean?

I am considering seeing a derm because i have dark purplish scars on my face from acne. If you feel the surface of my skin and face it’s very smooth! Underneath is where my scaring is. I hate it. Until I was 21 I had perfect skin everyone was super envious of. It’s been 6 years of dealing with it and my birth controls (various kinds even those made for people with acne) seem to not do anything! So, does insurance cover accutane? (PPO). and if not, what are some other options that can take it away? I’m getting married in March of 2007 and want flawless skin! But I don’t know if I can afford accutane w/out insurance. How much does it cost? Okay, enough of my 20 questions! Thanks for any help!! I’ve tried all the peels, washes, etc by the way…washing morning and night.

I am going to start accutane soon but i heard that i might have to wait thirty days after i get the blood test? I’m not sure if thats true though..i really hope it is not because i just want to start already!!! Please help!

I stop taking my accutane mid third month because it just wasn’t working at all. I have a derm appointment tomorrow can my derm give me a new prescription for another medicine or do i have to wait a certain amount of time, when the Accutane is out of my system?

I have taken Accutane for 4 months now and my face has cleared 99%, should I take it for a 5th month? My doctor has told me that I have cleared up and it us up to me and my parents whether I want to take it for another month or not. He said the difference is minimal to taking it for another month
