How do you tell the difference between a cold sore and a pimple?

Get a hot towel and wring it out and wipe it across the scirmish vigorously and if white stuff comes out it a cold sore
A pimple, regular or large, will still be a single bump. A cold sore will usually be a cluster of smaller blisters in an area of redness. They may both itch, sting or burn, but the cold sore may also be numb.
