how to mask Erythromycin. Kids wont take their med.?
Mу kids аrе passing around strep аnd hаνе bееn given Erythromycin antibiotic liquid. Itѕ nasty (shit) аnd thеу wont take іt. Anybody hаνе аnу proven remedies οn hοw tο mask thе flavor. Please, οnlу proven methods. Thanks.
You can do as suggested and ask the pharmacy to add a flavor, there are like 15 different ones to chose from. Or, you could always mix it with something that they drink. I usually mix my daughter’s liquid medicine with chocolate milk or apple juice. It all just depends on what it is. I still have to force the liquid Iron drops on her though. She complains every time I put it in something and refuses to drink it.
well at the pharmacy they have these flavoring you can buy iin many flavors that make it easier for kids to take their meds. but NEVER tell kids that medicine is candy because they will try to get into it and OD on ant meds you have around the home. GZood luck and hope your kids feel better.
My son took liquid zantac for almost 5 years. I was given all sorts of ideas on how to mask the horrible task that it has. The best one I ever got was to find a pharmacy that compounds there own prescriptions and have them flavor it for me. Many of the pharmacies are doing this now so maybe you can find one is doing it and maybe they can make it taste better for your children so that they will be willing to take that.
Besides that bribery has always been a good idea in my house.
