If no doctors answer, my response would be that the dry and itchy skin may be as a result of another organism’s response to the results of erythromycin. If I remember correctly, erythromycin is an anti-biotic. Anti-biotics can kill off helpful bacteria as well as harmful bacteria. Helpful bacteria keep candida albicans fungus in our intestines in check. So taking away the helpful bacteria may allow an overgrowth of the candida albicans, which can cause dry itchy skin, eczema, athlete’s feet, ringworm, thrush, and other similar skin conditions. i’m not a doctor but i’ve taken it. it dries a lot of people out, including myself.
it didnt make my skin dry or itchy but the stuff peels off!! i tried putting makeup over it one time and it all came off in little clumps..
