		<description>No.  Erythromycin is almost never used to treat a dental infection (it&#039;s not effective).  Self medicating is never a good idea unless you&#039;ve had formal training in the carous forms of antibiotics and their therapeutic uses (i.e. you&#039;re a doctor).

Please see your dentist if you feel you have  an infection.  Especially for periodontal disease (infections surrounding a tooth) you may be surprised that the best treatment doesn&#039;t require any antibiotics.</description>
