Are Erythromycin tablets good for acne?
Aѕ I hаνе used Erythromycin fοr mу acne аnd, although іt hasnt bееn very long, I hаνе noticed thаt thе acne hаѕ bееn getting worse thаn іt wаѕ originally.
Shουld I ѕtοр using Erythromycin fοr thе pimples οr wіll іt ѕtаrt tο work wіth gοοd results sometime soon?
Antibiotics are one of the treatments recommended to clear up acne. I have been thru the erythromycin…..you dont want to have to take them long term. If they are making your acne worse, perhaps you should let the dr’s office know to see how you should proceed.
The EM didnt work for me, but mynocine(I think that’s how it is spelled) did, another type of antibiotic….especially for the cystic acne. Are you on any topicals as well? usually the derm will prescribe an antibiotic cream for during the day, and some type of retina A type cream for the evening.
If you havent tried it, ProActiv is a good trmt….I used it for 3 yrs until I guess my skin adapted to it.
You may want to stick with the original plan first….sometimes the acne will get worse before it gets better.
