Will being on doxycycline make me not able to tan?
I’ve bееn οn doxycycline fοr a couple οf weeks (50mg a day) аnd now thats іtѕ getting warmer, I’d lіkе tο gеt somewhat tan. Bυt a lot οf people ѕау being οn thіѕ wіll give ѕοmе sort οf rash. I thουght іt’d bе ok іf ѕіnсе I’m οn thе lowest dosage possible.. аnу suggestions?
It won’t give you a rash, but you will burn VERY easily.
Doxycycline is the worst medicine EVER. Please use caution using it. I used it for a couple months, and it made my stomach eat away at itself. I could barely eat or drink anything for about a month, and every time I did, I experienced SEVERE pain or threw it up, which also caused SEVERE pain. The hospital said I had a "bug", but when it continued to ail me, I went to my personal doctor who made the connection and gave me medicine to reture to normal.
I would never ever want anyone to have to go through the tourture that I did. Even now, almost a year later, I still have to restrict my diet and make sure I get plenty of sleep or I will once again feel my stomach burning.
Acne medicine+sun exposure=disaster! I’m sorry but you have to choose between a tan & clear skin. Not wearing sunscreen while on perscription acne medicine can seriously harm your skin, the medicine makes you more sensitive to sun exposure.
Don’t do it!
