what is the difference between doxycycline HCl and doxycycline hyaclate?

    all I can find is
    HYACLATE: USAN-approved contraction for monohydrochloride hemiethanolate hemihydrate, HCl-1/2C2H5OH-1/2H2O.

    whereas HCl is the hydrochloride .. eg attached to an amine group.
