		<description>You both have colds, and that&#039;s just a coincidence.  Your symptoms do not indicate an allergic reaction, allergies mostly would show up as itching, rashes, and hives.  It is also unlikely that you&#039;d both be allergic to it and have the exact same symptoms; allergic reactions vary from person to person and aren&#039;t THAT common.  It is OK to take an over the counter cold/flu medication as it will not interfere with the effectiveness of the doxycycline.
