How long does it take for doxycycline to start working for acne?

it really depends on the severity of your condition, and the causes. for me, when I was prescribed it, my doctor said it would take about 3 weeks to notice good change, and a month and a half for almost fully cleared up. But it never got better after I was on it for 3 months. it might be because my acne is mainly caused by stress, and my stress level never lessened, only got worse actually, but I really don’t know. I suggest talking to your doctor about this.
I took mynocycline for acne(which is chemically really similar to doxyxycline) and mine worked after about a week, you might call your dermatologist and just ask if that’s normal or not.
For me it took 2 weeks to start work. I saw the results after 2 weeks only
Doxycycline has proven to be effective in treating acne; particularly in cases of moderate to severe acne. However, you should also take into considerations that oral antibiotics have shown to be subject to drug resistance. What I mean here is that for some other people, for an immunity to the acne treatment to build up in which case, the drug would no longer be effective.
