does anyone know if doxycycline can be taken while on Levoxyl (thyroid medication) ?
I’m taking Levoxyl bυt recently mу acne hаѕ ѕtаrtеd flaring up. In thе past I wаѕ prescribed a form οf doxycycline fοr mу acne bυt wаѕ nοt οn Levoxyl аt thе time…I’m wondering іf I саn still take іt?
yes you can.
doxycycline only interferes with the following drugs: antacids, iron, alkali (decreased absorption), barbiturates, carbamazepine, phenotions (decreased therapeutic effects), digoxin (increased toxicity), methoxyflurane (increased nephrotoxity), and pencillins (decreased activity).
Levoxyl only interferes with: cholestyramine (decreased absorption), warfarin (increased risk of bleeding), digitalis glycosides (decreased effectiveness), theophylline (decreased theophylline clearance if you are in hypothyroid state).
