are there any infertilty side effects associated with doxycycline?
I wаѕ рυt οn doxycycline fοr PID bυt аftеr mу results came back today, thеу wеrе negative. Thеу tοld mе tο take thе rest bυt I’ve heard thаt thеу wеrе a contributing factor tο infertility. Please hеlр.
Doxycycline will not effect to infertility but if you are pregnant then should avoid use it.For standard treatment of acute PID( pelvic inf lamination disease) as following;cefoxitin 2mg iv four times a day then follow by doxycline 100mg iv bid for 4 days then followup by doxycline 100mg two times daily by mouth for 10 days.I guess you already took by mouth for days why not finish the whole treatment.Culture negative is not mean you have no pid,if physical examination and symptoms support the diagnosis.

As far as pregnancy and fertility goes, doxyclin should not be prescribed to woman who is pregnant as it may affect bone formation of the baby.
