i am almost fifteen and today i took my first pill of Yaz. i was wondering what to expect this week like mood swings and all the possible side effects. and also, how long does it take to become effective in preventing pregnancy?

I got off the mirena because I was having mood swings I told the doctor this and she said yaz should help with the mood swings. Is this true, how so?

actually it isn’t yaz, it’s generic, so it’s ocella. well the white pills are the "inactive reminder pills", so is there even a point to taking them? is there any kind of medicine at all in them?

My girlfriend takes Yaz as a hormonal supplement as well as a contraceptive. She’ll occasionally skip aperiod because she’ll be out on a hiking trip for 2 weeks or so around her period or she’ll be out in the ocean for that amount of time, the list goes on like this. Lately she’ss been feeling tired and bloating in her lower abdomen around her female organs. Should there be anything to worry about?

I got off Yaz last month. 4 years ago I got off the patch and got pregnant 3 months later.

I know it can be at anytime. I just want to hear other experiences.

I was wondering if smoking will cause any adverse effects with the Yaz. I know that it bad for me, so please don’t preach about that. I just want to know the repercussions of smoking and being on Yaz birth control.

I’ve been taking it for about 2 1/2 weeks now, and I seem to be dizzy all of the time. Also about 6 months ago I pinched a nerve in my neck which caused severe dizziness, but it healed up. I was wondering whether this dizziness could be caused from Yaz since I haven’t put any strain on my neck again. And if it is possible, is there any way to make it help it? Thanks!

I have been taking YAZ for about two months now. Last month, my period was heavy and lasted about 7 days. Now, I have my period (2nd day into my period) but its very light and it’s more like spotting with not much red blood, but lots of brown. Is this normal? Is this counted for my period? Will my next period be heavy again? What did you experience while taking this birth control pill?

The doctor have gave me sample of yaz bc and than she had prescribe me the yaz 3mg/0.02mg Is the sample have the same mg has the yaz I have now?What my doctors is doing is having me taking the active pill for 3months than my none active pill the 3rd month so it be like my peiode wont come for 3 months

After a miscarriage in May, I went on yaz birth control and I had some bleeding from May 28 to June 14. On the 12th of June, I ran out of the first month of pills but I was planning to switch to another pill anyway. So I have been off of yaz and any form of bc since the 12th of June. I havent had a period yet and I am unsure if my bleeding was a period or from the miscarriage. Has anybody not had a period after stopping yaz and wasnt pregnant?
