Benzoyl Peroxide Archives

I have two products for acne but don’t know which one to use is the one that contains benzoyl peroxide or the salicylic acid one. Which one is better ?
Also i want to know if i can use them both at the same time i thought maybe it could be better mixing them?

i got folliculitis and i read that its best to wash the area with benzoyl peroxide which i can get over the counter but should i ask my doctor if its safe to use it? or can i just go ahead and use it without asking my doctor? im 16

I see that benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in many anti-acne systems. What does this compound do to help fight acne?

What do you think is the best on the spot benzoyl peroxide cream/gel on the market, also I am looking for lower concentrations as too high will irritate my skin big time.

i read on acne.org. that it is better to rub the cream and gliding it, mashing it all over, until all the cream is gone or some of it left, this means the cream is absorbed, and it is more effective…on other hand, if you just put a bunch of benzoyl cream on your face and let it dry off itself, it wouldn’t be absorbed much and is less effective…is this true ?

My back started itching pretty bad after I used the most common Acne cream 10% BENZOYL PEROXIDE CLEARASIL from Rite Aid.

What should I do about this and can I use Proactiv or AcneFree from Costco? Why would my back start itching anyways?

I currently use persa gel (10% benzoyl peroxide) from clean and clear. Does anyone know if there is another OTC product that has less concentration of BP? The 10% seems to be overly drying.

Is there a generic benzoyl peroxide facial cleanser?

i put a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream on my zit twice a day, morning and night. About how long will it take to get rid of it??

Ok, so for my science fair, I am comparing effectiveness of acne medication with benzoyl peroxide to acne medication with salicylic acid. Unfortunately, the benzoyl peroxide in ProActiv is 2.5% and the salicylic acid is 2.0%. I have to use ProActiv because its most common. So, I’m going to take out some ProActiv, take out some of the other medication, and apply it to bacteria. Can someone please be very specific and tell me exactly what I need to do to dilute the ProActiv medication so that the benzoyl peroxide is at 2.0%? Thanks so much!
