I am on a very high dosage of Accutane, and the backs of my hands and my lower arms have been breaking out into little bumps that are a red, itchy, scaly, rash. Has anyone else had this experience while taking accutane?

does accutane really work for severe acne? and how bad are the side effects?

I am in my fourth week of Accutane. My lips are very dry, and so is my skin and scalp. I was wondering what body wash would be the best to moisturize but not promote breakouts on my back or chest.

I am currently on Accutane medication, it’s been 2 monthes. I’m planning to do a rhinoplasty (nose job) soon as well as a mole removal. Is it ok to undergo these procedures because in the medication box it says that we should avoid doin skin resurfacing proceduers since the medication migh lead to scarring. THANKS

My neck, back, and arms have been very sore since starting accutane. Advil doesn’t seem to help at all. What can I do?

I want to take Accutane because I’ve tried everything my doctor said it was next on the list. I was wondering if any of the side effects such as stunt growth or birth defects will last any longer then how ever long I take the pill for example If I take the pill for 30 days will my growth only be stunt for 30 days? Or for ever? Same with birth defects.

However, some websites advise not to use Microdermabrasion when on accutane, Why not ?

If so, who prescribes the birth control? Is it the same doctor that gives you Accutane or do you have to go to a gynecologist?

I just got in a fight with my dermatologist (he’s a jerk) and he won’t tell me so why not ask the community, right? I’m 32, been on Accutane thrice but I forgot how long after treatment I have to be careful about my liver and all. My exams on my last day of Accutane said that all my transglicerides and transaminasas (in English?) are within range. So when can I start eating steak and drinking wine and playing beach volleyball again?

Does it effect the liver in any dramatic way or interfere with the accutane medication?

And will it effect the monthly liver tests that you have to take while on accutane?
