which medication is better benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid for acne?
I hаνе two products fοr acne bυt don’t know whісh one tο υѕе іѕ thе one thаt contains benzoyl peroxide οr thе salicylic acid one. Whісh one іѕ better ?
Alѕο i want tο know іf i саn υѕе thеm both аt thе same time i thουght maybe іt сουld bе better mixing thеm?
benzoyl peroxide is better and has been proven to be the most effective in treating acne. Salicylic is good as a wash and as a toner, and it helps remove the skin cells that clog pores. Benzoyl kills the bacteria that causes it
Definatly benzoyl peroxide, I used this on really bad acne for a few months and had amazing results where salicylic acid was rubbish. DO NOT MIX THEM!!! It will be too harsh on the skin and make it worse guaranteed!!! (Same with using facial wash, masks and spot cream all after each other)
Definitely benzoyl peroxide.
Benzoyl Peroxide is proven better for acne treament.its the main ingredient in Pro-Active(which im using, and LOVE,i seriusly saw results with-in a couple days.just takes a little patience) but if your alergic to benzoyl peroxide then Salicylic acid is better for you.and mixing them probly wouldnt do anything but dry your skin out really bad. I use proactive(main ingdient:benzoyl Peroxide) and it already drys my skin out alot.another thing you can do to help moisturize with out causing breakouts is get medicated lotion to put on your face. but ive tried salicylic acid before…i didnt work for me.and you can buy the pro-active medicated lotion seperate for a pretty good price.
