Is benzoyl peroxide supposed to soak in to your skin or does it just sit there?
Whеn i υѕе benzoyl peroxide οn mу face іt јυѕt sits thеrе аnd gets hard. thеn i apply moisturizer аnd іt аll јυѕt mixes together οn mу face. аnd іt still stings аll night (bесаυѕе thе peroxide іѕ still thеrе) bυt thе moisturizer helps thе dryness… ѕο іѕ thіѕ normal?

OMG don’t use it! Once in college a friend gave me some and after 2 days of using it my skin freaked and I got cystic acne and white heads all over and it spread all over my jawline…I immediately stopped using it and it took a month for my face to go back to normal
yeah you have to rub the benzoyl peroxide in dont just apply it and leave it. and only use about a pea size of the benzoyl per. because a little bit goes a long way. when your face is dry then put the moisterizer on.
Don’t mix it with moisturizer. If you’re face isn’t used to the medication, it may sting just a tad at first. That means it is working. Make sure the dosage isn’t too strong. For instance, some people get 10% and that may be too much. If you spread it evenly, it will soak in and help a lot. Spot treatments are okay for nasty individual pimples but spread and then spot it. You probably are using too strong of a dosage or you may need to switch to a combination of benzoyl peroxide and antibiotic cream. Try Benzaclin. Better visit the derm. They may give you Epiduo.
I found when I use it, it gets soaked in a bit and the rest kinda hardens on the surface.
The best thing to do is to use a non-comedogenic face cleanser before you use the benzoyl peroxide. This will help clear your face basically, which in turn will help your face absorb more of the BP.
After you use the cleanser, pat dry your face and wait about 5-15 mins for your face to completely dry.
Again this will help BP absorption.
