Can I use salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide together?
Can I use salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide together? I want to use a toner with salicylic acid and then benzoyl peroxide lotion…..but of course I an not going to rinse off the toner with salicylic acid.
Yes, at least I used to use a face wash containing salicilic acid along with a cream with 10% benzoyl peroxide and never had any trouble. My dermatoligist always recommended i wait 30 minutes between using the face wash and the cream, not because of a reaction, but because it keeps your skin from drying out as bad. She did also mention that for most only one of them, the salicylic acid or the benzoyl peroxide works on their acne.
Finally, you may want to consider trying some sort of sulfur soap. When i switched out my old face wash for it my acne got a lot better.

especially if you dont use these products often.
i tried this exact regimine, and omg people were asking me how i got sunburnt. lol i was peeling and fhbfk it was horrid. and it hurt. i had like chemical burns
most likely it will just dry out your face. a tight face doesnt mean a clean face. it means a dry face.
best thing that prevents my breakouts is 2.5% benzoyle peroxide.

benzoyle peroxide and salicylic acid free. stay away from eye area.
it doesnt so much help heal existing acne, but it really does help prevent it.
