No!
The acne that your cat has is not caused by the thing as human acne. Also, cats have very sensitive skin and you actually risk burning your cat’s skin.
One important thing to remember about cats is that they have a metabolism which is unique among mammals. Their liver is much smaller in relation to their body size. What may seem like a small dose for a human or a dog, could be lethal for a cat. Never give your cat any medicine without a vet’s okay first.
No. Fortunately animals are not vain like humans, your cat wont care how it looks, and i suspect it is not even acne, i never heard of such a thing. Go to the vets. Never give human meds to animals. Or vice versa.
You should never give human medicine to animals and never give animal medicine to humans. Take the cat to the vet, and don’t be a cheapskate, especially not when it comes to your cats health.
Yes, get the generic Stridex pads for humans, but not the extra strength. Use them every other day, and rinse the chin with clear water after treating. Chin acne is made worse if you use plastic bowls, as they harbor the bacteria. Be sure to feed and water her out of glass, ceramic, or stainless steel dishes, and wash them frequently (preferably in your dishwasher if you have one) to kill any bacteria.
If it doesn’t clear up, or becomes worse – inflamed or white-looking pustules, then she needs to go the the vet for antibiotics.
