I use both…but in my opinion, Salicylic acid is better at treating than preventing.
It’s too harsh to use twice a day on my skin – I only use it if I suspect a zit arriving or have one that needs to die immediately.
They are both suppose to cleanse the pores to prevent future outbreaks.

Both. You can use these products to treat existing acne. But once it’s gone, you can continue to use them (if you are a teenager or something who gets a lot of acne) to help prevent breakouts.
