It isn’t normally recommended to use salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide in the same go. Your results might not end up any better and you’ll just be stripping your face more. Try a lot of one for a month or two, and if that doesn’t work, try a lot of the other. You can get really big bottles of 2.5% BP (benzoyl peroxide – 2.5% is shown to be as effective as 5 and 10% while being the least stripping) at acne.org, which is where I get mine. I’m not sure about SA though, all I know is there is burt’s bees roll-on SA which you can use to spot treat a few times a day with, and Biore has a few SA cleansers.
Also, if you have a local healthfood or vitamin store look for "Jojoba oil." it’s a non acnegenic oil you can use in your face and hair to moisturize and help flakiness, and it doesn’t break you out. You can use a tiny bit alone before bed or mix a drop or two into your moisturizer. Don’t forget moisturizing! Otherwise your face might know it’s dry and produce more oils. acne.org has a bunch of reviews of acne products that you can look at, and offers it’s own moisturizer and gentle plain cleanser for you to try.
