Good Day
I’m sorry i dont know any prescription for acne – but i do know what i give my teenage son
I give him a ZINC mineral supplement – its very good for acne and skin in general and when he takes it i do see a differenc.
On top of that he sticks to twice a day cleanse – once a month mask and drinks loads of water and skips fizzy drinks as much as possible
good luck
Before looking for a prescription you can read about the causes of acne and at the end of the article there is a solution
http://www.valuesnatcher.com/blog/causes-behind-acne-scars-and-their-treatment-options
I hope the reading is not too boring.. however at the end you will see that there is a solution.. (you can go to the Acne Shop and there are many solutions)
Enjoy.
The best prescription treatment for me is 10% benzoyl peroxide . However you can get 5% benzoyl peroxide at any drug store – without a prescription. The only side effect is that it may bleach your clothes!
You can also help things along by using an over the counter body/face wash that has salicylic acid in it. Salicylic acid helps to prevent further acne/blockages. My favourite is St. Ives Blemish and Blackhead Apricot Face Wash.
I find that by using benzoyl peroxide and a salicylic wash, my skin clears up fairly quickly.
The best acne medicine to have come along is Accutane. However, it is reserved for people with severe cystic acne. There are numerous types of acne, and consequently numerous different ways to tackle it; thus, what works for one person may not work for another, if the type of acne is different. This is why you tend to hear so many different "stories" on line, as to what works or what doesn’t work.
