If you’re in a pinch and don’t have any acne specific creams, you can use regular tooth paste. Put it on at night, don’t rub it in. In the morning wash it off.
i wash my face with baking soda…or i use witchhazel sometimes. whats worked best for me tho is eating natural foods and staying away from packaged/processed foods. thats what most acne is caused from..is toxins from the food you eat. good luck!
Proactive helped my cousin, but didn’t clear up my acne.
I prefer Neutrogena, personally.
Birth control helps control acne, also.
I’ve heard rumors of toothpaste clearing acne, but I’ve never tried it, personally.
I’d rather not have a minty face, lol.
before you go to bed, put honey on your
pimple and a bandaid over it and in a
couple of days it will be gone.
mix 2 cups of brown sugar with 2-5 tablespoons
of milk. leave it on your face for 15 minutes and then wash it off
with a towel. it works as a natural scrub and it leaves your
face baby butt soft.
beat the white part of an egg and mix it with a
teaspoon of honey it works as a good mask (:
they say toothpaste work but it makes your face red and kinda itchy so if you want to try it try it on one pimple to see how you react to it.
If you want household products try lemon juice in apple cidar vinegar for the facial toner to clean away exceess oils. Also eat plain acidophilus yoghurt instead of sugar or fruit yoghurt.
Drink 3 litres of pure unfluoridated water daily and eat a healthy well balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, vegetarian proteins like beans, whole grains and legumes as well as fish, organic chicken if you can afford it. Stay clear of any meat that has been grown with hormones (ie everything that is not free range or organic).
If you have a hormonal inbalance (which is the cause of acne) does it makes sense to eat animal hormones?
I’ve given you a few links below of some great articles on acne and home remedies.
Household acne treatments:
1. Baking soda. Baking soda is very alkaline. It kills bac and prevents your skin from creating more flare-ups. To use baking soda as a skin treatment, simply mix about a teaspoon of baking soda with a little but of water and make a paste. Massage this paste gently around freshly washed skin and rinse.
2.For persistent acne, making a mask out of egg yolk can be effective. Simply separate the yoke from the whites of the egg, beat the yoke and apply it to your face. Allow it to dry and then wash it off. Do this every few days and it should help.
3.To dry pimples quickly, try applying Colgate regular toothpaste on the blemishes. Cover the pimples up with toothpaste and a band-aid and go to bed. In the morning the swelling should have dissipated.
4.Apple cider vinegar is another natural home remedy for acne that just plain works. It kills acne bacteria and helps to reduce redness and inflammation. It’s important to dilute it, however, as full-strength vinegar may cause irritation. Mix together 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 4 tablespoons of water and dab on your face with a cotton ball. Rinse with cold water after 10 minutes.
Household remedies are very effective if you think Acne products doesn’t work for you.
