Accutane is just the brand name of the drug isotretinoin. It has actually been taken off the market so generics are now the only option. Accuran is one of these generic brands of isotretinoin. The Accuran should work just as well as Accutane would. I took a generic called Claravis and am pleased with the results I got from it.
