What should I moisturize with while taking Accutane?
I аm taking Accutane аnd, par usual, mу skin іѕ drying up. Dοеѕ anyone hаνе аnу specific moisturizers tο recommend fοr mе tο υѕе? Anу аnd аll input іѕ greatly appreciated.

I swear by Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizing gel. Do not get the dramatically different moisturizing lotion because it has mineral oil in it, which is not good for acne. Most mall department stores have a Clinique, and while the gel is pricey ($20) it lasts forever. You can go to the counter and ask for a sample to see if you like it before you buy it. I use it morning and night, after I wash my face. Another thing that helped my skin was washing with less non-abrasive face wash. Between Accutane rounds, I’m always on really hardcore faces washes with a lot of Benzoyl Peroxide and exfoliants. However, while on Accutane, I try to use mild face wash without the scrubs and harsh chemicals.
A last trick – use Aquaphor. It is a Vaseline-like product made by Eucerin (another dry-skin lotion if you want a cheaper product for your skin). Aquaphor can be found in the lotion area of most stores (I bought my last one at Target) and is GREAT for those spots on your face that get really dry. I use it on my lips and even my nose (put a little on a Q-tip and rub inside my nostrils – gross, but works and stops the nose bleeds).

Personally, I like Oil of Olay with spf 15. It is water based and so doesn’t feel "heavy" when I put it on. I know it is a little "girly" but I think it works great. The Aveeno Positively Radiance works good too and has spf 15.
the only moisturizer i own is vaseline lubricant

i am also taking accutane as well and i use Biore pore minimizing moisturizer it makes my skin moist but not greasy.I use the system of Biore which helps more.Also for your chapped lips try carmex.I love that stuff it also has menthol to make you breathe better.Hoped that helped
When my son was on Accutane, he was told not to use a moisturizer. He was warned that he would have discomfort from dryness but if he wanted best results to tough it out until the treatment was completed.
His doctor did give him a wash that gave a little relief. I do not recall the name; it was a prescription.
