Is there anyone on accutane who no longer has the drive to do much of anything?
Sο I аm аlmοѕt done wіth mу accutane treatment, I wіll hаνе οnlу bееn οn іt fοr lіkе three аnd a half/ 4 months. Hοwеνеr, I feel kinda depressed аnd empty, lіkе mу life іѕ going nowhere аnd I don’t feel lіkе fixing іt. Hаѕ anyone еlѕе experienced thіѕ? Please hеlр mе. Bу thе way, nοt one person hаѕ noticed thаt mу face hаѕ cleared up οr ѕаіd anything positive tο mе аbουt іt.
Yeah because commenting "hey you used to be all gross and spotty but you’re not anymore" would be really rude, and no one really cares that you had spots in the first place.
It is a side-effect of accutane (depression), I am suprised you don’t know that as it has caused suicidal feelings in people so must be used with caution for that reason (among others)
Keep an eye on it and depending when it finishes let your doctor know. Next time you take medication make sure you are educated on the side-effects.
Also I don’t know if people know you’re on accutane but if they don’t then they wouldn’t mention your face is nice and clear in case you broke out not long after, then it would just make you feel worse.
I’m sure you didn’t believe people when they tried to tell you before that no-one cares you are spotty but as you can see it is true. This goes for anyone who is deperessed over their acne.
I haven’t been on this at all but I have heard that it can cause depression and even suicide in some people,it’s one to the bad affects of the accutane.This is what worries me when I see people are using this.It may clear up acne but it is really worth the side affects? You may want to consider getting off of this and looking in to taking Tetracycline,it’s an antibiotic that I have used a long time ago from my dermatologist and it worked really well to kill the bacteria from the acne.I hope this is of some help to you.
Has your dermatologist/doctor asked you any questions regarding temperamental changes? Set up an appointment and see him/her right away and mention how you’ve been feeling during your treatment. Some patients on Accutane have been known to experience changes in mood or attitude, but if you’re feeling depressed, please seek help. I don’t mean to sound like some sort of bot, but perhaps speaking with a parent/guardian or any other reliable person may help.
