Is it possible to stop using birth control pills while on Accutane without your doctor knowing?
I’m currently οn a 5-month Accutane (Isotretinoin) regimen fοr mу skin. I know birth control pills аrе required bесаυѕе οf thе birth defects thаt Isotretinoin саn cause, bυt I want tο ѕtοр taking thе pills fοr various reasons. Wіll mу doctor know іf I ѕtοр taking thе birth control pills? I hаνе tο take a blood test аnd a pregnancy test еνеrу month, bυt I don’t thіnk thе doctor wουld bе аblе tο detect changes іn mу hormone levels. Anѕwеrѕ?

i am currently on a six month accutane regimen of my own and no, i am not on birthcontrol. at long as you make sure that you dont have sex wheil on accutane because it can serouiosly fuck a baby up so DONT HAVE SEX and maybe call your doctor and ask him if it would affect yourself. and if you are planning on getting pregant make sure that it is at least 2 months after you stop taking the medicine.
Stay on the pill. It isn’t that hard. It does nothing wrong to your body, so you have no reason to go off of it unless you are trying to get pregnant, which at this point you don’t need to be.
