How old should you be to start using accutane and does it really work?
I аm a 15 year οld male, 140 pounds bυt wουld I bе аblе tο υѕе accutane? I hаνе hаd a lіttlе trουblе growing up wіth occational zits bυt I want thеm gone аnd done wіth. Please hеlр mе
It does work, but it does have side affects! You must have serious acne before a dermatologist will put you on accutane. The kind that of acne that is cystic. I had two sons go on it and one son that did not have it bad enough. We live in Texas and they had to sign forms agreeing to all kinds of rules.
Girls actually have to be put on birth control to go on it.
There are alternatives such as antibiotics, go to a good dermatologist and get their opinion!
I don’t think you are as in much risk to the side effects due to the fact you are not a female. I took it when I was a teen and it worked wonders. I did hate though that I had to have frequent blood test to make sure I wasn’t pregnant but OBVIOUSLY you won’t have that problem. hehe Good luck!
Accutane is commonly used in teenagers, however if you only have a couple of zits no doctor is going to prescribe it. This is an extremely potent medicine with alot of side effects and kids who are on it need monthly blood test to make sure their liver can handle it; it is resereved for kids with really bad cystic scarring acne…
i am 14 and i have used proactiv for about a year with no side affects at all and my face is completely clear i would recommend this to any one
Accutane is very serious. You shouldn’t take it unless you have serious acne.
