Are there any side effects when you QUIT Accutane?
Mу friend wουld lіkе tο quit taking Accutane bесаυѕе ѕhе hаѕ taken іt fοr a course οf 3 months already аnd іt hаѕ nοt hеlреd one bit. Shе hаѕ severe depression аnd horrible joint pain whеrе ѕhе саn’t even walk аt times. Hеr lips аrе constantly chapped, аnd ѕο οn.
Mу qυеѕtіοn іѕ, іf ѕhе јυѕt stops taking Accutane, аrе thеrе going tο bе аnу side effects fοr suddenly ѕtοрріng?
Alѕο, wіll thе joints, etc, gο back tο normal?
ACCUTANE is a very strong drug I suggest you ask her to call her doctor and ask him if maybe he can lower the dosage so she can finish he treatment.
I have heard that she needs to take it for at least 5 months and sometimes you won’t see results until after the treatment is completed. If she is hurting so bad still have her talk to her doctor because sometimes just stopping the medication can make her acne worst. Ask her to talk to him right away and please be supportive of her if she is depress depression is a horrible thing. She is probably even more depress because her acne won’t go away and she feels like she is messing up her body by taking those pills. I have heard that as soon as she stops the med she should be fine but keep a close eye on her mental health more than anything else.Try keep her company and make sure she doesn’t hurt herself. I don’t mean to scare you but I have heard that there is a high rate of suicide among teens that where on accutane. I almost took it so I researched a lot on it and in my opinion it just had too many side effects and I didn’t want to risk it.

I watched Dateline and their was this story about a guy who had severe depression and had stabbed his doctor to death cause he blamed him for his suffering. I think your friend should see her doctor for advice.
