Accutane…………….?
I wаѕ wondering іf I сουld still wear makeup аѕ іn "foundation" bесаυѕе mу dermatologist proscribed mе Accutane.
Wіll wearing makeup mаkе іt worse?
And fοr anybody whο hаѕ taken Accutane dοеѕ іt work well bυt dry уουr skin out?
Alѕο, whats a gοοd moisturizer whіlе taking Accutane? I need a gοοd one thаt wіll dο іt’s job, I heard уου skin gets really dry.

My acne was the painful under the skin red ones, cysts. I always wore makeup anyway. It’s just finding a good moisturizer that can be troublesome. Try finding a foundation that doesn’t dry out the skin. Makeup Forever has a great selection of foundations for dry, oily, combo skin. I don’t recommend powder foundation as most cheap brands contain talc and dry you out.
You will experience dryness most likely. If you wear contacts, I recommend getting eye drops. Everything will be dry. It’ll strip the oil and moisture from your skin and probably scalp too.
Everyone is a bit different. Some people take a few weeks to work, others much longer depending on the severity. My sister has been on it 3 times.
okay…here’s the thing with that.
my friend was prescribed accutane && it worked wonders on her face, but it comes with a price.
your skin will flake off in layers, your hair will become brittle and begin to break, it affects nail growth…it’s some serious stuff.
if you get pregnant while taking it, it may cause you child to be stillborn. i’ve wanted to do it for a long time, but i’m not ready for all that suffering yet.
i didnt have any trouble with my hair breaking off or my skin flaking…you just have to make sure you put lotion on every day. olay for normal skin did the trick for me (twice a day–morning and night), but i also took vitamin e supplements. they really help keep your skin from getting too dry and they kept my hair shiny and pretty. i would also recommend not showering every day unless you get dirty/sweaty, as that will dry you out more.
You could still wear makeup. .I did the first time I was on accutane. The second time I was on it. .I didn’t. It didn’t work nearly as well as it did the first time. I’d say that if it’s your first time on accutane, it’ll work well for you.
As far as a good moisturizer. .cetaphil, or basically any non comedogenic moisturizer that doesn’t contain retinol or anything harsh. You’re already getting exfoliation from the accutane.
