I strarted 16 days ago and im here to tell you your acne will get extremly worse in the first month or so of treatment… as already stated it has serious side effects you even have to get your blood checked every month to see if your chlorestal is rising…. goood luck
I started it a week ago and I’m 28, I started breaking out at 19. I was tired of trying everything and nothing working, after one week my skin is cleared up! Do it while you are young, get it out of the way trust me.
accutane was great for me. i was on it for about 1 1/2 years, because i had the worse case of acne. it works great, does take some time though. lots of side effects, sore muscles, chapped lips, changes in appetite. there is a controversy over it because one side effect could be depression, which i think may have happened to me, one guy did kill himself while on it, but they don’t know if he was already depressed or it the medicine did it to him.
if you are female you will have to go in for a pregnancy test each month for it can harm the fetus really bad.
each month i believe you will have to have blood work, and talk to someone like a counselor to make sure you are not depressed. i didnt have to do the counselor thing because theyve changed it since ive been on it, about 3 years ago.
my acne has started to come back. it will work for a few years, depending on your body and may start to come back after a while. but it does do wonders.
so if u decide to take this, good luck, and just watch yourself, have a friend watch you too.
